Leaves, Brush and Yard Waste Policy
The Compost Site hours for dropping off leaves, brush and yard waste will be
7:30 am –3:00 pm Monday through Saturday from April 3rd through November 6th
An attendant will be on duty most Saturdays for assistance. Dumpsters will be on-site after May 9th until five dumpsters provided during the summer have been filled. No bulky waste, such as furniture or plastics can be accepted unless dumpsters are on-site.
No refrigerators, electronics, dehumidifiers or microwaves will be accepted at any time.
LEAVES AT CURB- Leaves will be removed weekly as time allows.
Spring period isApril 5th thru May 17th
Fall period is October 4th thru November 15th
Place leaves within 5 feet of curb in open area (away from posts, trees and garbage)
Place leaves, brush and waste containers at curb the night before pick-up.
Leaves deposited by yard contractors will not be collected.
BRUSH- Brush is picked up the first Monday of each month from April 5th thru November 1st
Place brush out on that Monday by 7:00 a.m. with cut ends in same direction toward the street. No branches larger than 8" in diameter
Brush piles larger than a pick-up truck load will be charged at $125.00/hr.
YARD WASTE (grass clippings and yard waste) Yard waste is picked up the first Monday of each month from April 5th thru November 1st
Please have yard waste at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on that Monday
Containers shall be 18’ x 24” with holes in bottom and not exceed 50 lbs in weight
There is a limit of 5 containers per household
